What Is the Permanent Dragon Token?

The Permanent Dragon Token was the premium version of the Update 24 compensation. If you’d bought permanent Dragon with Robux before the December 2024 rework, you didn’t get the normal token — you got this one, and instead of a random roll it came with a choice of four exchange bundles.

The Four Exchange Options

Using the token opened a menu with four sets to pick from. Upgrade gave a discount on the new permanent Dragon — 2,400 Robux instead of 5,000. Fruits handed over Permanent Dough alongside Permanent Flame. Game Passes covered staples like 2x Money, 2x Boss Drops, 2x Mastery, Fast Boats, and extra fruit storage. Swordsman bundled a Dark Blade with 2 Mystical Scrolls, 2 Legendary Scrolls, and Fragments. After the December 17, 2024 backlash fix, unspent permanent tokens were removed entirely, and holders were instead allowed to choose Eastern or Western Dragon permanently.

Why It’s a Limited Item

Like the normal token, it can’t be obtained anymore. It existed only as rework compensation for a few days in December 2024. What makes the permanent version more interesting to collectors is what it represented: proof that the account once owned one of the most expensive permanent fruits in the game before the biggest rework in Blox Fruits history.

Permanent Dragon Token Trading Value Analysis

Unvalued on every tracker, with an overpaid trend. That combination tells you everything: almost nobody trades it, and when they do, the price is whatever the two collectors in the room agree on. It has zero gameplay utility — you can’t eat it, equip it, or redeem it anymore. Its entire worth is as a status artifact. If someone offers you one, check the live value box at the top of this page, then ask yourself whether you’re buying value or buying a story. For most traders, the answer should be to walk away and put the same wealth into something with actual liquidity.

The December 17 Backlash: What Actually Happened

The token story has a messy middle worth knowing. When Update 24 first dropped, the exchange rates felt insulting to a lot of players — a fruit they’d paid 15M Beli or 3,500 Robux for was being swapped for a random roll. The backlash was loud enough that the developers changed the system three days later, on December 17, 2024: physical Dragon holders got Eastern or Western Dragon outright, and permanent holders got to choose their permanent version. The Permanent Dragon Token, as a redeemable item, ceased to exist at that point. Any token still floating around in inventories today is a leftover from those three chaotic days — which is part of why collectors care about it. It’s not just a rare item; it’s a souvenir from the most controversial update in the game’s history.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What’s the difference between the Dragon Token and the Permanent Dragon Token?

The normal token came from owning physical or equipped Dragon fruits and converted into random Mythicals. The permanent token came from owning permanent Dragon and offered four exchange bundles: a Dragon discount, permanent Dough + Flame, game passes, or a Dark Blade bundle. (Read the Dragon Token page for the full comparison.)

Can I still redeem a Permanent Dragon Token?

No. Unspent tokens were removed in the December 17 fix; the item is a collectible leftover now.

Why is it listed as “Unvalued”?

Too few trades happen to establish a reliable price. It’s a collector’s item with near-zero liquidity.

Is it worth more than the normal Dragon Token?

To collectors, yes. The normal token came from Beli-bought fruits anyone could grind; the permanent version proves pre-rework Robux ownership. For actual trading value, check the full Limiteds value list for tradable alternatives.
