What Is the Dragon Token?

The Dragon Token is a compensation item that appeared in players’ inventories during Update 24 (December 2024), when Blox Fruits completely reworked the Dragon fruit. If you owned a physical or equipped Dragon fruit when the update dropped, the game automatically converted each one into a Dragon Token. You couldn’t grind for it, buy it, or roll it — it just showed up, one token per Dragon you held.

Why the Dragon Token Exists

Before Update 24, Dragon was a single fruit. The rework split it into two entirely separate fruits, Dragon East and Dragon West, with new models, new movesets, and a much higher price tag. Players who had spent 15,000,000 Beli or thousands of Robux on the old Dragon were suddenly holding a fruit that no longer existed. The token was the developers’ answer: a placeholder item that could be exchanged for something of equal weight.

What the Dragon Token Could Be Used For

Using a normal Dragon Token originally let you roll a random Mythical fruit: Shadow, Dough, Venom, Gas, Tiger, Kitsune, or the new Dragon. Three days after the update (December 17, 2024), after heavy community backlash, the system was changed: players holding physical Dragons were given an Eastern or Western Dragon in physical form instead, and leftover tokens were converted into random Mythicals with equal odds across the seven.

Can You Still Get a Dragon Token?

No. There is no method left in the game to obtain one. Dragon Tokens were a one-time compensation tied to a single update, and every token still in existence is sitting in some veteran player’s inventory. That’s exactly why it sits in the Limited tier with no tracked value — it’s too rare to price consistently.

Dragon Token Trading Value Analysis

This is one of the strangest entries on the value list: a token for a fruit that doesn’t exist anymore. Its worth is pure collector speculation. No new tokens can ever enter the game, so supply only shrinks as old accounts go dormant. Demand is thin — most traders would rather hold an actual Dragon East or West — but the handful of collectors chasing one-of-one inventory pieces will overpay, which is why trackers flag it as overpaid. Check the live value box at the top of this page before even thinking about a trade, and treat any offer with extreme caution: this is trophy trading, not value trading.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I still get a Dragon Token in 2026?

No. Dragon Tokens were one-time compensation from the Update 24 Dragon rework in December 2024. No event, dealer, boss, or raid drops them.

What did the Dragon Token turn into?

Originally a random Mythical fruit. After the December 17, 2024 fix, physical Dragon holders received Eastern or Western Dragon in physical form instead.

Is the Dragon Token the same as the Permanent Dragon Token?

No. The normal token came from owning physical or equipped Dragon fruits. The Permanent Dragon Token came from owning permanent Dragon and offered four exchange bundles instead of a random roll.

Should I trade for a Dragon Token?

Only if you’re a collector. It has no gameplay use, almost no liquidity, and no reliable price, full Limiteds value list for tradable alternatives.
